This Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) Meter can be used to measure the concentration of dissolved minerals and salts in your water. What are the benefits of a TDS Meter related to your water and homebrewing?
- WATER: This meter is great to have on hand to understand when certain filter cartridges should be replaced, such as the 100 gpd Membrane in our Portable Reverse Osmosis System. While we recommend around every 3 years, you may need to replace it more frequently depending on your usage, and this TDS Meter can help you know when it's time to replace the membrane in your RO system!
- HOMEBREWING: A TDS meter allows you to monitor the overall mineral content of your brewing water. The mineral content can impact your mash pH, enzyme activity, and ultimately, the flavor profile of your finished beer. Being able to check the mineral content levels throughout the brewing process allow you to make necessary adjustments to achieve your desired beer profile and style.
